New Year, New Habits: 10 Ways to Improve Your Well-being in 2023
As we step into the new year, it's important to take a moment to reflect on our habits and make a plan for how we want to improve ourselves in the coming year. For me, I have decided to focus on a few specific habits that I want to bring into 2023 in order to improve my overall well-being.
First on my list is setting a daily goal of 10,000 steps. I know that getting regular exercise is crucial for maintaining good health, and I want to make sure that I am getting enough physical activity every day. I will be using a fitness tracker to keep track of my steps and make sure that I am meeting my goal.
Another habit that I am prioritizing in 2023 is getting enough sleep. I know that sleep is essential for our physical and mental well-being, and I want to make sure that I am getting at least 7 hours of sleep every night. I will be setting a regular bedtime and sticking to it, as well as avoiding screens for at least an hour before bed.
I also want to focus on my mental well-being in 2023, so I am committing to reading 10 pages of a book every day. Reading is a great way to relax, learn new things, and expand my horizons, and I want to make sure that I am making time for it every day.
To improve my digital wellness, I am going to limit my screen time at night. I will be putting my phone on "Do Not Disturb" mode for at least an hour before bed, and I will be avoiding screens altogether for at least an hour before bed.
Another habit I am going to adopt this year is taking cold showers. Cold showers have been proven to have many benefits for the body and mind, and I want to experience them for myself.
Lastly, I am going to start oil pulling every day. Oil pulling is an ancient Ayurvedic practice that involves swishing oil around in the mouth to help remove toxins and promote oral hygiene.
I know that it will take some time and effort to establish these habits, but I am committed to making them a part of my daily routine in 2023. I believe that these small changes will make a big difference in my overall well-being.
